Alabama Women’s Tennis Concludes Day Two of Alabama Four-In-The-Fall

Kasia Pitak paced the Crimson Tide on the second day of competition, recording a win in both singles and doubles play
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –Kasia Pitak led the UA women's tennis team Saturday at the Alabama Four-In-The-Fall Tournament at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.
Kasia Pitak and partner Ansley Cheshire opened the day with a 6-2 doubles win against Illinois' Kathryn Treiber and Kida Ferrari.
Kasia Pitak followed the doubles victory with a win in singles versus Tereza Dejnozkova of South Alabama. She opened the match with a 6-1 first-set score, before falling in a second-set tiebreaker 7-6 (3). She fought her way back in the third set with an 11-9 victory to finish off the match.
In addition to the Tide's performance at the Alabama Four-In-The-Fall, Ola Pitak competed in the opening round at the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, N.C. Ola Pitak captured the first set in the pre-qualifying match at 6-2, but fell 6-3, 6-4 in sets two and three, respectively, to San Francisco's Maria Martinez Vaquero.
The Tide closes the Alabama Four-In-The-Fall on Sunday with competition beginning at 9 a.m. CT.
