
Alabama Signee Kennedy Marceaux Named Gatorade Louisiana Softball Player of the Year

The shortstop batted .615 with 21 home runs and 50 RBIs for Kaplan High School
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama softball signee Kennedy Marceaux was announced as the 2023-24 Gatorade Louisiana Softball Player of the Year on Friday by the Gatorade Player of the Year program.
As a senior at Kaplan High School in Kaplan, La., Marceaux batted .615 with 21 home runs and 50 RBIs, leading her team to the state tournament quarterfinals. The shortstop also scored 65 runs and collected 14 doubles, six triples and 25 stolen bases. She finished her prep career with 83 home runs and is ranked at No. 7 in Extra Inning Softball's Class of 2024 rankings.
An incoming freshman for next year's Crimson Tide softball squad, Marceaux was also recently selected to participate in the PGF High School All-American game alongside future Alabama teammates Mari Hubbard (Huntsville, Ala.) and Audrey Vandagriff (Bogart, Ga.).
