Alabama Opens Spring Season at the Watersound Invitational

The Crimson Tide will tee off the three-day, 54-hole event Monday morning
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The No. 24 Alabama men's golf team opens the 2024 spring season when it travels to Panama City Beach, Fla., to compete at the Watersound Invitational. The three-day, 54-hole event will take place Monday through Wednesday on the par 72, 7,246-yard Sharks Tooth Golf Club course in Panama City, Fla.
THE LINEUP
- The Crimson Tide will send a total of eight golfers to this week's season opener, including five starters and three individuals
- Alabama's starting five for the event will consist of Jones Free, Dominic Clemons, Jonathan Griz, Nick Gross and Connor Brown
- The three individuals include Luke Coyle, Michael Crocker and William Jenninge
- Brown, Coyle, Crocker and Jennings are each making their season debut
TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
- The 12-team field features seven teams ranked in the Bushnell/Golfweek DI top-30 national rankings
- In addition to No. 24 Alabama, the field includes No. 14 Georgia Tech, No. 12 UCLA, No. 11 Vanderbilt, No. 18 Mississippi State and No. 25 Notre Dame and No. 27 Florida State
- Clemson, Kentucky, Michigan State, Navy and NC State round out the tournament field
