Timmons scored a career-best 34 points, while Ta’Mia Scott earned a new UA career high with 21 points
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The No. 25/24 Alabama women's basketball team defeated Florida, 76-71, on the road Sunday. The Crimson Tide secured its second-highest three-point percentage of the season as the team outshot the Gators 12-of-23 (52 percent) from behind the arc in the victory.
Jessica Timmons shot 11-for-17 (65 percent) from the field and 7-for-10 (70 percent) from the three-point range to pace Alabama (21-7, 7-7 SEC) with a career-high 34 points. Ta'Mia Scott followed suit with 21 points to mark a new career-best while at The Capstone.
Florida (16-13, 4-10 SEC) was led by Liv McGill who had 19 points and KN'isha Godfrey who grabbed 10 rebounds.

- Ta'Mia Scott extended her double-figure scoring streak to four-straight games following her 21-point game
- Karly Weathers and Naomi Jones combined for a team-high 12 rebounds with six boards a piece

How it happened
- Alabama used a trio of three-pointers to jump out to 9-2 before Florida went on a 7-5 run to tie the game with a minute left in the first quarter (14-14)
- Ta'Mia Scott closed out the stanza with her third shot from behind the arc to give the Crimson Tide the lead (17-14)
- UA went on a 9-0 run midway through the second quarter to increase its lead to a 12-point advantage (31-19)
- After trading buckets, the Gators cut the Tide's lead to six points at the half (38-32)
- Although Alabama went on a 10-point run halfway through the third quarter, Florida countered with a 12-0 run over the last 3:39 minutes to take a four-point advantage (54-58)
- The final quarter saw four ties, highlighted by a UA 10-5 run to bring the game to a 64-64 standstill, before the Gators jumped back in front (64-66)
- Alabama finished the game with an 8-3 run, spearheaded by Jessica Timmons who scored 15 points in the last 10 minutes to help secure the victory (76-71)
