Maria Andrienko clinched the match for the Crimson Tide on court three
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama women's tennis team defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks, 4-1, Thursday at the Alabama Tennis Stadium. The Crimson Tide improved to 12-4 overall and picked up its fourth Southeastern Conference victory.
Alabama (12-4, 4-4 SEC) claimed the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots before Klara Milicevic and Karla Bartel earned straight-set singles victories on courts two and four, respectively. Maria Andrienko downed Arkansas' Brooke Shafer in three sets to clinch the match for the Tide on court three.
Match Notes
- Klara Milicevic and Karla Bartel picked up their first win as UA's No. 2 doubles pairing after defeating Arkansas' Brooke Schafer and Jimena Gomez Alonso, 6-3
- Maria Andrienko and Amina Salibayeva also claimed their first win as a duo following a 6-4 victory at the No. 3 spot
- Milicevic quickly gave the Tide its second point after downing Anet Koskel in straight-sets on court three (6-1, 6-3)
