Tyler Fay Earns College Baseball Foundation Pitcher of the Week Honors

Fay was awarded the national recognition following his no-hit performance on March 20
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Alabama baseball's Tyler Fay was the named the College Baseball Foundation Pitcher of the Week, the organization announced Tuesday. The redshirt junior was recognized for his historic evening on March 20 against then-No. 18 Florida, recording the ninth no-hitter in Alabama program history.
The honor is the fourth such national honor received by Fay for his outing against the Gators, having also been named the Golden Spikes x D1Baseball Pitcher of the Week and Perfect Game USA's Pitcher of the Week in addition to garnering placement on Baseball American's Week Six National Team of the Week.

- Recorded the ninth no-hitter in Alabama program history on March 20, leading the Tide to a 6-0 win in the series opener with the Gators
- Created new career highs in innings pitched (9.0) and strikeouts (13) in his sixth start of the season, surrendering just two walks while retiring 27 of the 29 batters he faced
- Struck out at least one batter in seven of his nine innings on the mound, including multiple strikeouts in five of nine innings
- Became the first Tide pitcher since Eddie Owcar in 1942 to manage an individual 9.0-inning no-hitter while accomplishing Alabama's first no-hitter of any kind since 2014
- Provided a key start in game one for Alabama to eventually cement its first sweep of Florida since 2002
- Fay now owns a 4.06 ERA (17 ER/37.2 IP) through six starts while leading the Tide in innings pitched (37.2), strikeouts (47) and opponent batting average (.187)
