
Tide Claims Event Titles on Second Day of Double-Meet Weekend

Christopher Crawford won the men’s discus, while Mario Paul won the men’s 400-meter hurdles
STARKVILLE, Miss. – Alabama track and field won a pair of individual event titles at the Bulldog Relays on Friday.
Christopher Crawford won the men's discus off his third attempt with a 59.83-meter (196-4) throw. On the track, Mario Paul clocked a 51.63 in the men's 400-meter hurdles to take the event victory.
Over in Raleigh, N.C., Milicent Wafula made her outdoor career debut for the Crimson Tide, running 4:12.55 in the women's 1,500m to take eighth place overall. Veteran teammate Brenda Tuwei finished 12th via a 15:54.71 showing in the women's 5,000m.
The Crimson Tide will return to the track Saturday for the final day of both the Bulldog Relays and Raleigh Relays.
