
Alabama to Host Georgia Tech for 2026 SEC/ACC Challenge

The Crimson Tide will welcome the Yellow Jackets to Coleman Coliseum for the first time in nine years
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama women's basketball will host Georgia Teach in the 2026 SEC/ACC Challenge, ESPN announced Friday. The matchup is set for Thursday, Dec. 3, inside Coleman Coliseum.
The Crimson Tide will welcome the Yellow Jackets to Tuscaloosa for the first time in nine years for its eighth overall meeting.
Television destinations and tipoff times will be announced at a later date.
Alabama's 2026-27 ticket interest form is now available for fans interested in purchasing season, single game, floor seats or group tickets.
Up for the Challenge:
- The Crimson Tide will host the SEC/ACC Challenge at Coleman Coliseum for back-to-back years
- Alabama secured the 72-48 win over Clemson in last year's tournament (Dec. 4, 2025)
- UA holds a 5-2 record over GA Tech, including an undefeated 3-0 mark at home
- The Tide claimed the last matchup against the Yellow Jackets after a 61-59 buzzer beater win to advance to the round of 16 of the Women's National Invitation Tournament in 2018
- Alabama finished the 2025-26 season with a 24-11 overall record after making its fifth NCAA Tournament appearance in the last six years
- Georgia Tech concluded the year in the first round of the 2025 Women's Basketball Invitational Tournament, finishing with a 14-19 record
