Soccer Up to No. 6 in the Nation Following Hot Start
Congratulations to head coach Wes Hart and our soccer team for their hot start to the 2026 season. Following a 2-0 win at Nebraska, our ladies moved to 4-0 on the season, which includes a pair of top-25 wins. As a result, the team jumped up to No. 6 in this week's United Soccer Coaches rankings.
The Tide will now play three of its next four matches at the Alabama Soccer Complex, beginning tonight vs. Troy at 6 p.m. CT. We hope to see you all out there cheering our ladies to victory!
Volleyball Opens 2026 Regular Season with Crimson Tide Invitational
Head coach Rashinda Reed and our volleyball team will play its first matches of the season this weekend, hosting the Crimson Tide Invitational at Foster Auditorium. The Tide's first match will take place at 6 p.m. CT on Friday against Samford. Saturday's tournament finale is set for 5 p.m. CT against UC Riverside. Both season and single-match tickets are on sale now and can be purchased through the Alabama Ticket Office.Â
Football Kicks Off Season Next Saturday against East Carolina
The wait for kickoff is nearly over as we get set to welcome in the 2026 football season next Saturday afternoon inside Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium. First up for head coach Kalen DeBoer's squad is East Carolina, with kick set for 11 a.m. CT. Those looking to pick up tickets can do so through SeatGeek.
Cross Country Favored to Win SEC in Preseason Coaches Poll
The Alabama's men's and women's cross country teams were both predicted to win the 2026 Southeastern Conference Cross Country Championships by a vote of the league's head coaches. Alabama will begin the 2026 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 5, at the City Auto Memphis Twilight Classic in Memphis, Tenn.Â
Yea Alabama Mobile App Available for Download
Yea Alabama has launched its new mobile app, continuing to enhance the platform and bridge the gap between Crimson Tide sports, exclusive content, member communication, announcements and premier fan experiences. Be sure to download now if you have not already.
Stadium Gate and Section Renumbering
As a way to improve ease of navigation in and around Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium for fans, game-day staff and emergency personnel, our fans will see new gate and section signs beginning this season.
Stadium gates are renumbered clockwise starting at the Walk of Champions. Fans can still use the same security checkpoints and entry gates they're familiar with, but the number labels are now simplified. For example, fans who had a Gate 13-17 listed as the entry gate on their mobile ticket last season will now just see Gate 36.Â
In addition, section names now have a three-digit number corresponding to the respective floor level. To illustrate, Section FF on Level 1 is now Section 129 and Section SS-4 on Level 8 is now Section 850.Â
College Colors Day
Don't forget to wear your crimson and white on Friday, September 4 as we celebrate College Colors Day! Be sure to tag your photos on social using #CollegeColorsDay and #RollTideFriday and also let us know where you're checking in from, so we can see all the different locations where the Tide is being represented.
University Spotlight
I came across this article about the history of 'Yea, Alabama!' and The Million Dollar Band that went into the back story of our fight song and how it came to be. It goes into the back story and how the tradition now includes singing the fight song to our Crimson Tide football team - a tradition started by Nick Saban that is carried on today. I hope you all enjoyed this read as much as I did.
#RollTideFriday
Check out this picturesque photo of Mike and Kathy Mouron, which was taken up north in Canada. It certainly looks a lot cooler there than it is here in Alabama! Remember to use the hashtag #RollTideFriday in your social posts and tweet your photos to me at @Greg_Byrne. We will select photos to feature in each Byrne Notice. Keep these great photos coming!
