The Crimson Tide returns to Tuscaloosa after early-season challenge
TULSA, Okla - The Alabama men's tennis program wrapped up play at the ITA All-American Championships on Thursday, gaining valuable experience against strong competition.Â
New addition Braden Hannig picked up his first singles win in the crimson and white, securing a consolation victory over Rice's Rafael Botran in two sets. Matic Kriznik also battled through a competitive consolation match against Arkansas' Jakub Vrba, taking the opening set 6-4 before falling 2-6, 5-7.Â
Despite the results, the Crimson Tide showed positive glimpses throughout the week and learned a lot from the early-season test.Â

"Overall, it was a great experience for our new guys as well as our returners. We learned a lot about what it takes to compete against the best players in college tennis. It is still early in the Fall and we have a lot of work to do to keep raising our standards in both practice and competition, while learning to handle difficult moments better. We look forward to more competition this Fall."Â
