Graduated from The University of Alabama on May 6, one of the Crimson Tide’s five graduates during the 2017 season … saw his most extensive action for his career in 2017, playing in 22 games with four starts … totaled two hits, two RBI and four runs scored while drawing three walks in his final year at UA. Presbyterian (2/17-19): Entered as a pinch-hitter in Saturday’s game ... was hit by a pitch and eventually came around to score for his first run of the season. Southern Miss (2/22): Made his first start of the season, finishing 1-for-2 with a run scored and drew one walk. Oral Roberts (2/24-26): Started game two of the weekend, collecting his first hit and RBI of the season in the outing … went 1-for-4 on the day, using a single to collect an RBI. Jacksonville State (2/28): Came off the bench in a pinch-hit role but did not record any stats in his lone at-bat. ULM (3/3-5): Notched one at-bat in the series finale, entering as a pinch-hitter, but did not record any hits. Arkansas-Pine Bluff (3/9-12): Entered Friday and Sunday’s second game as a pinch-hitter, remaining in the contest at DH on Sunday … drew a walk in his lone plate appearance on Friday, but was removed from his baserunning duties after fouling a ball off his lower leg in the at-bat. Missouri (3/17-19): Saw time as a pinch-hitter in Sunday’s finale, going 0-for-1 in his time at the plate. Auburn (3/28): Entered late in the game as a defensive replacement at catcher but not see any at-bats. Arkansas (3/31-4/2): Made his first SEC start of the season on Friday and entered as a pinch-hitter on Saturday ... finished 0-for-2 with a hit-by-pitch across the two games of work. Ole Miss (4/7-9): Came off the bench as a defensive replacement at catcher on Sunday ... did not record any at-bats. UAB (4/11): Started at catcher against the Blazers, going 0-for-2 at the plate. Texas A&M (4/13-15): Entered as a pinch-hitter in Thursday’s series opener, finishing 0-for-1 at the plate. Alcorn State (4/18): Entered as a defensive replacement, finishing the night with a walk and one run scored. Mississippi State (4/20-21): Saw time as a defensive replacement at catcher in the second game of the doubleheader ... recorded one run scored and a hit-by-pitch across his time in the series finale. Jacksonville State (4/25): Entered as a pinch-hitter in the ninth, finishing 0-for-1 in his lone plate appearance. Auburn (5/6-7): Came in as a defensive replacement in Sunday’s marathon series finale but did not see time at the plate. Florida (5/12-14): Pinch-hit in the final two games of the weekend … went 0-for-2 in his two at-bats and was robbed on an unbelievable stab by the Florida third baseman in his final collegiate at-bat at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. Vanderbilt (5/18-20): Entered as a pinch-hitter in the first two games of the series but did not record a hit in his two plate appearances.
2016 (Junior)
Saw time in eight contests, starting three of them ... finished with a .375 (6-16) average that included a double and a home run, while adding five RBI and two runs scored to his season totals. Nicholls State (2/24): Entered in the eighth as a pinch-hitter and remained in the game at catcher. Georgia (3/31-4/2): Entered as a defensive replacement in games one and three of the weekend in Athens … finished game one 1-for-1, collecting a two-RBI double in the 13th inning to provide insurance runs in the Tide’s 10-7, 13-inning victory. Alcorn State (4/5): Started game one, going 2-for-4 with his first home run of the season, one RBI and a pair of runs scored. Troy (4/19): Finished the night 2-for-4 with two RBI ... drove in the go-ahead runs in the bottom of the eighth with a single down the left field line. Auburn (5/6-8): Started the series finale at designated hitter … went 1-for-4 on the afternoon.
2015 (Sophomore)
Played in 14 games, earning six starts during his sophomore campaign ... batted .250 (6-24) with two doubles, three RBI, two runs scored, one walk and a hit-by-pitch ... cut down two of the six runners attempting to steal on him. Maryland Eastern Shore (2/13-15): Entered as a defensive replacement in the final two games of the series, recording one run in the finale. Houston (2/20-22): Earned his first start of 2015 ... finished with his first hit of the season --a double-- in the finale against the Cougars. Savannah State (2/24): Saw action in both games of the twinbill, entering as a defensive replacement in game one and starting the second matchup ... finished the night 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI, his first of the season. Ole Miss (4/25-26): Entered as a defensive replacement in the first of two games on Saturday, finishing with one hit in as many at-bats. Arkansas (4/30-5/2): Started his first SEC matchup of the season in the finale, going 1-for-3. Alabama A&M (5/5): Got the nod at catcher in the second game of the doubleheader with the Bulldogs, recording one RBI on a sacrifice fly.
2014 (Redshirt Freshman)
Appeared in 10 games in 2014. Mississippi Valley State (3/7): After entering the Mississippi Valley State game as a defensive replacement, made his first career plate appearance later in the game. Ole Miss (3/29): Drew a walk as a late-game sub for Will Haynie against the ninth-ranked Rebels. Texas A&M (4/5): Recorded a hit and a run scored in his first career start in the series finale with the Aggies.
