Alex Stewart will enter her first season with the Alabama women's basketball team during the 2026-27 campaign after being named director of operations by head coach Pauline Love on May 1.

"Alex brings a wealth of experience, toughness and credibility to our program,” said Love. "She has coached at a high level, helped build winning teams and understands what it takes to develop young women on and off the court. Her background as an elite player, proven coach and relationship-builder makes her a tremendous addition to our staff."

Prior to Alabama

Spent four seasons at Auburn, starting as director of basketball operations before being elevated to an assistant coach and chief of staff (2021-25)
Aided in the Tigers' return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2019 and helped lead the team to a 20-win season in 2023-24
Holds 17 years of coaching experience, 12 of those in the Division I ranks, following stints at Colgate (2020-21), Georgia Southern (2015-19), Toledo (2012-15) and Jacksonville (2011-12)
Served brief tenures at North Greenville (2019-20) and Agnes Scott (2006-08)
Returned to her alma mater, Georgia Tech, serving as director of operations and as an academic coach (2008-11)
