Patrick Kaukovalta Comes Up Short in Consolation Round of Oracle ITA National Fall Championships

The Crimson Tide sophomore fell to No. 11 Johannes Ingildsen of Florida
SURPRISE, Ariz. – Sophomore Patrick Kaukovalta dropped his match against No. 11 Johannes Ingildsen (Florida) in singles consolation at the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships on Thursday at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex in Surprise, Ariz.
No. 11 Ingildsen defeated Kaukovalta in a two-set battle, 6-2, 7-5. The appearance by Kaukovalta marked the first Alabama men's tennis player represented in the tournament.
Next up for Alabama men's tennis, sophomore Jeremy Gschwendtner travels to Pensacola, Fla., for the USTA $15k Futures. The qualifying round begins on Friday. Also in action this weekend, senior Mazen Osama and junior Alexey Nesterov will play in the USTA $25k Futures in Norman, Okla., beginning on Sunday, Nov. 11.
