The Crimson Tide will look to bounce back on Sunday against No. 17 Vanderbilt

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Alabama fell to No. 34 Kentucky, 4-2, on Friday at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex in Lexington, Ky. The Crimson Tide dropped to 11-5, 0-3 SEC on the year, while the Wildcats moved to 9-5, 2-1 in SEC play.

Doubles

The Tide started the match by clinching the doubles point and going ahead 1-0. Following the loss on court two, UA bounced back with No. 49 junior Moka Ito and freshman Isabella Harvison winning on court one, 6-4. The point came down to court three as seniors Ann Selim and Luca Fabian pulled out the 6-4 victory to put the Crimson Tide on top.

Singles

The Wildcats took control by winning the first three points on courts four, two and one to go up 3-1. Later on, senior Alba Cortina Pou won her match against Carla Girbau, 6-7(6), 6-2, 6-2, when moments later UK clinched the match 4-2 with a straight-set victory on court six.
