
Alabama Soccer Has Six Named to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District IV Team

Felicia Knox, Riley Mattingly Parker, Reyna Reyes, Kat Rogers, Ashlynn Serepca and Gessica Skorka were selected for all-district honors
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama soccer team had six student-athletes selected for the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday. Felicia Knox, Riley Mattingly Parker, Reyna Reyes, Kat Rogers, Ashlynn Serepca and Gessica Skorka represented the Tide on the district list.
Alabama
- All six UA student-athletes earned their first all-district nod
- Riley Mattingly Parker, Kat Rogers and Ashlynn Serepca have 4.0 GPAs in their graduate programs with Parker working on a master's degree in marketing, Rogers working towards a degree in restaurant, hotel and meetings management and Ashlynn Serepca working towards an MBA
- Gessica Skorka has a 4.0 GPA in kinesiology, while Reyna Reyes holds a 3.57 GPA in business and Felicia Knox holds a 3.95 in hospitality management
- Parker set the program record for single-season points (39), goals (16) and game-winning goals in addition to tying the UA record for career game-winning goals (10)
- Serepca ranks second all-time at Alabama in single-season game winning goals with five on the year in addition to ranking second on the team in goals this season with eight
- Knox paces the NCAA with a program-record 19 assists in a single season, moving her to a school-record 24 career assists
- Rogers ranks third all-time in program history for single-season assists with eight this year, including three assists against Chattanooga
- Reyes and Skorka lead Alabama on the defensive side of the field
- The Alabama defense has tallied a school-record 12 single-season shut outs
- The defense has allowed just 13 goals all season and averages 8.5 shots per game from an opposing team
The Team
- Alabama is in the midst of its best season in program history.
- The Crimson Tide has recorded a UA record 20 wins, which includes a perfect 10-0 run in conference play to earn the SEC Regular Season Championship
- Alabama finished as the 2022 SEC Tournament runner-up
- The program set the school record for single-season points (200), goals (68), assists (64), shots (470) and shots on goal (199)
- Additionally, the 2022 season tallied the program record for overall shut outs (12), longest winning streak (15 games), most wins in a season (20), most wins against a top-25 opponent (5) and attendance (1,882)
