Zimnokh Concludes Singles Play at ITA All-American Championships

Andrii Zimnokh and Zach Foster will compete in the main draw of doubles beginning Wednesday
TULSA, Okla. –– Alabama's Andrii Zimnokh concluded singles play at the ITA All-American Championships after retiring in the Qualifying Round of 32.
After trading games in the first set, Zimnokh and Kentucky's Jaden Weekes fought through a seven-point tiebreaker for the opening-round advantage. Weekes would find a narrow lead, taking the tiebreaker at 7-5. Zimnokh would retire in the second set after trailing 3-0.
Zimnokh and Zach Foster will now prepare for doubles action at the ITA All-American Championships with the main draw match set to begin at 3:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday.
The ITA All-American Championships will serve as a qualifying tournament for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships. Ten singles players (eight main draw quarterfinalists and two feed-in consolation finalists) and four doubles teams (four main draw semifinalists) will advance to the national tournament.
