Alabama Sweeps Doubleheader Against Tennessee State

The Crimson Tide dominated the Tigers in a 7-0 victory in the first match before clinching match two with a 5-0 score
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men's tennis team captured a pair of victories over Tennessee State (0-7) Friday, recording a 7-0 and 5-0 victory over the Tigers in the doubleheader.
Alabama (5-7) went undefeated throughout the day, tallying five doubles and 10 singles victories. The overall victory was clinched on court three in both matches with Matic Kriznik securing the win in the first round before Carlos Gimenez Perez notched the win in the second.

Match Notes
- All three of the Tide's doubles pairings recorded a win, as Andrii Zimnokh and Vit Kalina posted two wins at the No. 1 spot and Jacob Olar and Matic Kriznik went 2-0 at No. 2
- Rohan Hazratwala and Brendan Loh captured a win in the first match, but went unfinished in round two after the doubles point was clinched
- Gimenez Perez gave up just four games between the two matches, after securing a commanding 6-0, 6-0 victory and a 6-3, 6-1 win, respectively
- Kriznik dropped just three games in each match, going 6-1, 6-2, and 6-2, 6-1, respectively
- Kalina also won in both matches, while Zimnokh, Olar, Hazratwala, Loh and Yoshka Sborowsky each secured a win during the day's events
