
Jocelyn Briski Takes Home Three Pitcher of the Week Awards

Briski wins weekly accolades from the SEC, D1 Softball and Softball America
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Following a top 10 series victory for Alabama last weekend over Arkansas, junior pitcher Jocelyn Briski has earned recognition at both the conference and national level as the SEC Pitcher of the Week, D1 Softball Pitcher of the Week and Softball America Star Pitcher of the Week.
Briski earned two complete-game victories over the Razorbacks, holding one of the best offenses in the country to just two runs across 14.0 innings pitched. She finished with double-digit strikeouts in both games, including a career best 14 in Friday's series opener. Returning on Sunday to try and clinch the weekend series, she pitched a career high 123 pitches while fanning 10 batters. On the weekend, she allowed just nine hits, seven of which were singles, and two walks.
It is Briski's second SEC Pitcher of the Week award this season, previously winning on March 2, and the sixth overall weekly conference honor for Alabama this season. Previous D1 Softball weekly award winners this season include Vic Moten (Freshman of the Week - Feb. 10) and Kaitlyn Pallozzi (Freshman of the Week - Feb. 24) and Softball America Stars of the Week Moten (Freshman - Feb. 10) and Alexis Pupillo (Player - Feb. 24).
