Alexis Pupillo goes 3-for-3, a double short of hitting for the cycle
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama softball defeated ULM, 4-1, Tuesday afternoon at Rhoads Stadium.
Alabama (27-1) got on the board right away with three runs in the first inning against ULM (17-15) on a two-run triple from Ambrey Taylor and an RBI single from Ana Roman. The Warhawks plated a run in the top of the third with an RBI groundout before Alexis Pupillo stretched the lead back to three with a line-drive solo home run in the bottom half of the inning to make it 4-1. The Crimson Tide defense kept the visitors out of the run column the rest of the way, with Vic Moten (11-1) throwing 4.0 shutout relief innings to earn the win.

"We seemed to be going through the motions today. Offensively we weren't very sharp, but we were very good defensively. Kaitlyn [Pallozzi] gave us a great start and then Vic [Moten] came in and did a really good job in relief. [Alexis] Pupillo was awesome going 3-for-3 with a triple and home run. Ambrey [Taylor] took advantage of another opportunity with the two-run triple. Moving forward, we need to get back into the 'dominate' mindset and take advantage of our time on the field."
