
Alabama Earns All-America Honors in Two Events on Day Two

UA secured Second Team All-America honors from both Tessa Giele in the 100 butterfly and the Tide’s 200 free relay team
ATLANTA – Alabama recorded a pair of All-America honors on the second day of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
Tessa Giele opened the day with a 10th-place finish in the 100 butterfly, before returning with the women's 200 freestyle relay team to capture a ninth-place finish alongside teammates Cadence Vincent, Emily Jones and Charlotte Rosendale.
After the second day of events, Alabama sits in 13th place with 47 points.
Meet Notes
- The women's 200 freestyle relay team of Vincent, Jones, Giele and Rosendale clocked a 1:26.62 to finish ninth in the event
- It marked the 21st time that the Tide has earned All-America honors in the event, including a six-year consecutive run beginning in 2021
- Giele's second-team All-America honor was the 17th in program history and the first for the Tide since Rhyan White earned the honor in 2022
