
Emily Jones Earns CSC Academic All-America Honors

Jones is the program’s first back-to-back academic All-American since three-time honoree Derek Maas earned the honor between 2021 and 2023
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – For the second consecutive year, Emily Jones was named a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree, the organization announced Tuesday.
Jones notched five All-America honors at the 2026 NCAA Championships as the Newcastle, Australia, native also picked up her third All-SEC selection. Jones is the first female SEC Scholar-Athlete in program history as she holds a 4.0 GPA.
Jones' nod to the CSC Academic All-America team marked the Alabama swimming and diving program's 12th consecutive year of having an academic All-America honoree. In total, 27 members of the UA men's and women's swimming and diving squads have earned academic All-America honors 42 times.

- First Alabama female to earn SEC Swimming and Diving Scholar-Athlete of the Year, joining male recipients Derek Maas (2023), Zane Waddell (2020), Robert Howard (2019), Luke Kaliszak (2018), Connor Oslin (2016, 2017) and Vlad Polyakov (2006)
- Five-time All-American, earning first-team honors in the 200 medley relay and 100 back and second-team honors 200 free relay, 400 medley relay and 400 free relay
- Finished in the top three at SECs in six events, earning silver in the 100 back, 200 medley relay and 200 free relay, while earning bronze in the 200 back, 400 free relay and 400 medley relay
- Also finished fifth in the 100 butterfly at SECs
- Captured a career-best swim in the 100 backstroke (50.47) at the NCAA Championships to rank second all-time in program history
- Career-best time of 51.13 in the 100 butterfly at SECs ranks fourth all-time in UA history
- Broke four Alabama Aquatic Center records this season, posting a new standard in the 100 back, 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay and 200 free relay
- Named a Third Team Academic All-American in 2025
