
Alabama Assistant Coach Sydney-Anne Cottrell Named WBCA Thirty Under 30 Honoree

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama assistant coach and director of video and creative content, Sydney-Anne Cottrell has been named as a Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) Thirty Under 30 honoree, the organization announced Tuesday.
The WBCA's Thirty Under 30 program was created to recognize 30 up-and-coming women's basketball coaches aged 30 and under at all levels of the game. Each honoree has exemplified their involvement in community service, mentorship and impact on others, professional manner, and attitude and professional association involvement.
Cottrell finished her third season at The Capstone following the 2025-26 campaign after joining the program in the summer of 2023. The last three seasons, Cottrell has aided Alabama to three consecutive 20-plus win seasons (2023-26), while also helping the program to its 15th NCAA Tournament appearance.
