ATLANTA – Tommy Hagar captured a podium finish to highlight Alabama on the final night of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

Hagar, Leonardo Alcantara and Sean Niewold paced the Tide throughout the week as all three UA swimmers secured a pair of All-America accolades. In total, Alabama tallied eight All-America honors off of three individual performances and the Tide's 200 medley relay.
Alabama closed the national event in 24th place with 41 points.
From Head Coach Margo Geer
"We saw a lot of great performances over the week and I'm proud of how this team finished the college season. It was exciting to see Tommy and Leo both stand on the podium. Sean had some amazing gains throughout the week, as well as our relay swimmers. These guys have worked hard this season and it's always great when you can see the results in such a positive way. We can't wait to get back to Tuscaloosa, take a little time off, then hit the water again as we prepare for an exciting summer schedule."
