
Alabama Softball Opens SEC Tournament Play Thursday as No. 2 Seed

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama softball enters next week's 2026 SEC Softball Tournament in Lexington, Ky., as the No. 2 overall seed, opening play on Thursday, May 7 at 1 p.m. CT on SEC Network at John Cropp Stadium.
The Crimson Tide will face off against either Arkansas, Mississippi State or Kentucky depending on the results of the week's preceding games. Alabama owns a 47-30 (.610) record at the SEC Tournament, including a 43-27 (.614) mark under head coach Patrick Murphy. The Tide has won six tournament titles, doing so in 1998, 2003, 2005, 2010, 2012 and 2021.
