
Keldon Peak Named Alabama Strength and Conditioning Coach

Peak will join Pauline Love’s staff following a four-year stint at Oklahoma
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama women's basketball head coach Pauline Love announced the hiring of Keldon Peak as the program's associate strength and conditioning coach on Monday.
Peak will join the Crimson Tide after spending a four-year stint at Oklahoma. While with the Sooner's, Peak worked alongside OU's women's basketball program, primarily, along with the tennis, rowing, men's gymnastics and volleyball programs.
"Keldon brings a relentless commitment to developing our players at the highest level," said Love. "His expertise in strength, performance and sport science will help us build a team that is not only stronger and faster, but more durable and prepared to compete every day."
In his three seasons with women's basketball, the Sooners boast a .740 winning percentage, have won two Big 12 championships and never missed the NCAA Tournament. Notably, under Peak's conditioning program, Oklahoma stood out as the only Power Six team in the nation to finish inside the top 11 nationally in pace.
Keldon Peak Bio
- Served as Oklahoma's assistant director of strength and performance for women's basketball (2022-25)
- Worked with the tennis, rowing, men's gymnastics and volleyball programs during his time with the Sooners
- Oversaw the women's basketball team's design and implementation for all aspects of performance enhancement, optimizing athlete performance and mitigating injury risk
- While on staff, the Sooners boasted a .740 winning percentage, while winning two Big 12 championships and making three consecutive the NCAA Tournament appearances
- OU stood out as the only Power Six team in the nation to finish inside the top 11 nationally in pace during his three seasons with women's basketball
- Prior to joining Oklahoma full time, Peak served as the graduate assistant strength and performance coach, working with Oklahoma men's tennis and assisting with men's and women's basketball
- Recognized as a Corrective Exercise Specialist by the National Academy of Sports Medicine
- Graduated from Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science in 2020 and completed his master's in Exercise Physiology in 2023
