Myles Upchurch Named NCBWA Freshman All-American

The right-hander garnered first team status following an outstanding rookie campaign
LYNCHBURG, Va. – Alabama baseball's Myles Upchurch was the named a First Team Freshman All-American by the National College Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), the organization announced Monday.
Upchurch was one of 34 freshmen from around the nation to earn NCBWA Freshman All-American honors, as the recognition stands as the first All-American honor of Upchurch's budding collegiate career. Upchurch is the Crimson Tide's first Freshman All-American honoree since Justin Lebron earned identical NCBWA honors in 2024.

- Played a key role in Alabama clinching its first Men's College World Series berth since 1999
- Compiled a 3.57 ERA (28 ER/70.2 IP) in 15 starts, the lowest mark among the Tide's starting staff
- His 3.57 ERA is the ninth-lowest earned run average among all qualified freshman Division I pitchers
- Carries an 8-3 record with 77 strikeouts into Omaha, equating to a 9.8 strikeouts per nine innings mark
- One of only five Division I freshmen to make at least 15 starts this season
- Named to the SEC All-Freshman Team prior to the start of postseason play
