Women's Basketball Holds First Official Practice to Start the 2026-27 Season

The Crimson Tide begins a new era under first year head coach Pauline Love on November 2
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama women's basketball team held its first official practice of the 2026-27 campaign inside the Coleman Coliseum practice facility Monday afternoon. Under new leadership of first year head coach Pauline Love, the Crimson Tide welcomes nine newcomers and returns four players from the 2025-26 season, including key players in Ace Austin and Naomi Jones.

- Serving at the helm, Pauline Love will enter her first year as head coach on Nov. 2 when Alabama opens the 2026-27 season versus Queens
- Ace Austin, Leah Brooks, Tianna Chambers and Naomi Jones return from last year's roster
- Over the offseason, the Tide welcomed nine new faces, all transfers, including Amirah Anderson, Paris Bradley, Rickell Brown and Brooke Coffey
- Mykelle Richards, Aaliyah Roberson, Caitlin Staley, Kylie Torrence and Alayna West round out UA's newcomers
- UA will feature 16 non-conference games and 16 Southeastern Conference games
- The Tide's non-conference schedule is highlighted by the WBCA Showcase in Orlando, Fla., (Nov. 19 and Nov. 21) and the ACC/SEC challenge versus Georgia Tech (Dec. 3)
- Alabama will open SEC play on the road against South Carolina (Dec. 31) followed by its conference home opener versus Georgia (Jan. 3)
