TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama softball's second signee of the early period is Kendall Beth Sides, who signed her National Letter of Intent recently to join the Crimson Tide for the 2017-18 school year.
"Her summer ball coach, Jay Roberson, calls her the best leadoff hitter in the 2017 class," UA head coach Patrick Murphy said. "She has tremendous speed and bat control. KB has steadily improved year-after-year and we can't wait to see her in an Alabama uniform."
Sides, nicknamed "KB", is an in-state product from Dora, Ala., where she attends Sumiton Christian School. There, she won back-to-back 2A state titles in 2015 and 2016, earning Max Preps All-America honors both seasons. She was named the class 2A player of the year in 2016 and was her high school's offensive MVP. She holds national-career records in runs scored and stolen bases. She plays club softball with the Birmingham Thunderbolts.
