
Alabama Women’s Basketball Ready for Rematch with Auburn on Senior Day

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama women's basketball (16-10, 6-7 SEC) welcomes Auburn (13-12, 4-9 SEC) to Tuscaloosa for a midday matchup on Sunday in Coleman Coliseum with the game tipping at 4 p.m. CT. This game will serve as the Crimson Tide's Senior Day, honoring its six senior student-athletes and two managers postgame, as well as Alabama's annual Play4Kay/Power of Pink event, bringing awareness to the fight against breast cancer.

OPENING TIP
• Alabama will play its final two home games of the regular season this week, hosting Auburn on Sunday and Georgia on Thursday.
• Last time out, the Crimson Tide won at Tennessee for the first time in program history with a 72-63 victory over the No. 11 Lady Volunteers.
• The win was Alabama's first over an AP top 25 team in its last 23 tries, dating back to the 57-55 victory at No. 9 Kentucky on Jan. 23, 2014.
• The Tide has now won four Southeastern Conference road games, which is the most since it had four during the 1997-98 season.
• Sunday's game will be the second of the season against Auburn.
• Auburn leads the series against Alabama, 50-37, and has won eight of the last 10 meetings.
• The Tide last prevailed in the series on Feb. 20, 2017, when it won in overtime at Auburn, 63-61.
• Alabama's last victory in Tuscaloosa came on Jan. 22, 2015, by a score of 51-50.
SCOUTING ALABAMA
• Alabama enters Sunday's game with a 16-10 overall record and a 6-7 mark in Southeastern Conference play.\
• UA is 10-4 in road games this season, which includes a 2-4 mark in against league opponents.
• The Crimson Tide is led in scoring by senior Hannah Cook, who averages 11.2 points per game and in rebounding by fellow senior Ashley Williams, who averages 6.4 boards per contest. Sophomore Jordan Lewis leads the way in assists with 3.4 per game.
• Sophomore Ashley Knight leads the team and ranks fourth in the SEC and 47th nationally in blocks per game with an average of 2.00. She is currently second in career blocks at Alabama (142) and is 45 away from tying Yolanda Watkins (187) for most in program history.
• Last time out, sophomore Jordan Lewis scored a team-high 19 points, while senior Ashley Williams added a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead Alabama to its first win in program history at Tennessee.
• In its last two games, UA shot over 80 percent from the free throw line, hitting 82.4 percent (28-34) at Ole Miss and 87.4 percent (14-16) at Tennessee.
• As a team, the Crimson Tide is averaging 68.2 points per game, 5.9 more than its opponents, and is outrebounding the opposition 39.6-35.5.
• After finishing the 2016-17 season last in the SEC in free throw percentage, Alabama has jumped up to sixth, hitting 72.3 percent of its attempts as a team.
• In 20 of its 26 games this season, Alabama has had eight or more in the scoring column. In nine of those 20 games, 10 or more scored for the Crimson Tide.
• The Crimson Tide started its SEC season with a 3-1 record, which was its best mark since the 1997-98 season. Alabama has also won four of its first seven league games for the first time since that season.
SCOUTING AUBURN
• Auburn stands at 13-12 on the season and 4-9 against Southeastern Conference opponents.
• The Tigers are 2-7 in road games overall this season but have not won a league road contest.
• Auburn has won two of its last three games, earning victories at home against LSU (70-62) and Vanderbilt (63-60).
• Last time out, the Tigers dropped a 59-51 decision to Missouri. Junior Janiah McKay led the way for Auburn, finishing with 18 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals.
• The Tigers are led in scoring and assists by junior Janiah McKay, who averages 16.4 points per game and 4.5 assists per game. Freshman Unique Thompson leads the team in rebounds with 8.8 boards per contest.
• As a team, the Tigers have forced an average of 23.2 turnovers per game, 13.6 of which have come from steals.
• Auburn is under the direction of Terri Williams-Flournoy, who is in her sixth season as head coach of the Tigers. She's led Auburn to 19 or more wins in three and has reached postseason play four times, including the NCAA tournament twice. Prior to taking over in Auburn, Williams-Flournoy served as head coach at Georgetown (2004-12).
