The Crimson Tide finished 11th in the team standings marking its fifth top-15 placement at nationals in the last six years
ATLANTA – Alabama concluded the final night of the women's NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships with a pair of All-America honors as the Tide finished 11th in the team standings with 100.5 points. The finish marked the fifth time in the last six years that the Tide has placed in the top 15 at the NCAA Championships.
Vincent bettered her personal-best swim in the 100 freestyle twice during the day's event to secure her a seventh-place finish and solidify her claim as a First Team All-American.
Additionally, the 400 free relay team of Vincent, Gaby Van Brunt, Tessa Giele and Emily Jones posted a 10th-place finish for Second Team All-America honors.
Overall, Alabama had five swimmers earn All-America honors, paced by a six-time All-America performance from Vincent and a five-time performance from Jones and Giele. Combined, the Tide earned 20 accolades, including securing the feat with four out of five relay teams.
From Head Coach Margo Geer
"Great way to end an exciting season for our women. We had five swimmers earn 20 All-America honors, which includes four of our five relay teams. Cadence and Emily both had fantastic career-best swims to earn themselves a spot on the podium. We've trained all year for this, and I'm excited to see that hard work pay off for them.
"The women will go home and take a quick rest before they start training for summer competitions, while our men's team heads to Atlanta for NCAAs next week."
