Crimson Tide Seeks Its Sixth-Straight Win Over No. 24/25 Tennessee on Monday Night

Alabama will take on the Lady Vols in Knoxville on Monday at 6 p.m. CT
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's basketball team looks to earn its sixth-straight victory against No. 24/25 Tennessee when it travels to Knoxville, Tenn., to play Monday night at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT inside Thompson-Boling Arena. The Crimson Tide (11-6, 1-3 SEC) bounced back from its three-game losing streak with a 75-48 dismantling of Auburn on Jan. 12, while the Lady Vols (14-3, 4-1) are coming off a convincing road win versus Florida, 78-50, on Thursday night.
The matchup on Monday night is the 57th between the two programs. Alabama has won the last five times the teams have played including an 86-65 victory over the then-ranked No. 20 Lady Vols in Tuscaloosa on Jan. 17, 2019. The Crimson Tide made history the last time it was in Knoxville, picking up its first win inside Thompson-Boling Arena, after downing then-No.11 UT 72-63 on Feb. 15, 2018.

• The Crimson Tide has defeated the Lady Vols the previous five meetings, including a 21-point victory last year, which is the largest for UA vs. UT in the two program's history. Alabama became only the eighth program in history to win five or more consecutive games against the Lady Vols and the only Southeastern Conference team to complete that feat.
• Redshirt junior Jordan Lewis has scored in double figures in seven straight games for an average of 15.1 points per game, while shooting an efficient 46.7 percent (35-of-75) from the floor. For the season, she leads the team in points (13.4), assists (3.6) and is second in 3-point percentage (38.9). In addition, Lewis is just 11 points away from 1,000 for her career and just four assists away from taking over the No. 8 spot in career assists at Alabama.
• The Tide has been led in SEC play by junior Jasmine Walker who is playing her best in 2020 after averaging 16.8 points and eight rebounds, including coming in red-hot from beyond the arc after going 12-of-28 (43 percent) through four SEC games. Walker has a double-double in both of the Tide's SEC road games.
• The Alabama bench has outscored its opponents, 541-299 (31.8 avg. - 17.6 avg), in 17 games this season. The Tide reserves leads the SEC in total bench points and bench points per game. The reserves have accounted for 43 percent of the Tide's scoring, with senior Cierra Johnson (9.1) leading the bench.
• Alabama enters Monday's game as one of the best teams in the country at getting to the free throw line. The Crimson Tide is No. 25 in the nation in free throw attempts (353) and No. 20 (249). UA is knocking down its attempts at a 70.5 percent clip which is good enough for fourth in the SEC.

• Tennessee has won its last three games and has an impressive 9-1 record at home.
• The Lady Vols are led by standout Reinna Davis who is averaging 17.4 points and 8.3 rebounds. Jordan Horston and Rae Burrell also average double figures with 10.6 points and 10.4 points respectively.
• First year coach Kellie Harper has started her Tennessee coaching career with a 14-3 record, while sporting a 299-211 overall mark. Harper came over to Knoxville from a successful stint with Missouri State.
