The Crimson Tide opens play in Pensacola Tuesday, Nov. 10 vs. Auburn or LSU
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – With the conclusion of the regular season Sunday, the bracket for next week's 2026 SEC Soccer Tournament in Pensacola, Fla., has been finalized as Alabama will enter as the No. 3 seed, earning a first-round bye to open play on Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. CT vs. the winner of Sunday's Auburn vs. LSU game.
The Crimson Tide will be making its 19th appearance at the SEC Tournament, previously making five semifinal appearances and a pair of runner-up finishes in 2022 and 1995.
Alabama and Auburn have met three times at the SEC Tournament, last doing so in 2019 as the Crimson Tide earned a 2-1 first round win in overtime. Alabama holds the 2-1 advantage over its in-state rival at the SEC Tournament. The 2020 tournament marks the only previous meeting between Alabama and LSU, with the Tigers earning the 2-0 first round victory. Alabama and Auburn met earlier this season, a 1-0 Tide victory on Sept. 11, while the Tide faced off against LSU in a preseason exhibition on Aug. 5 that ended in a 1-1 draw.
From Head Coach Wes Hart
"We earned a bye in the first round and will await the winner of Auburn vs. LSU, two very good teams that we know well. LSU has a very dangerous attack, while Auburn has one of the stingiest defenses in the country."
