
Jocelyn Briski Named Top 25 Finalist for 2026 USA Softball Player of the Year

The junior RHP is second nationally with a 9.56 strikeout-to-walk ratio
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama junior pitcher Jocelyn Briski has been selected as one of 25 finalists for the 2026 USA Softball Player of the Year award, it was announced Wednesday.
Briski owns a 19-2 record across 25 appearances in 2026 with a 1.50 ERA and 153 strikeouts. Her 9.56 strikeout-to-walk ratio is second nationally and leads the Southeastern Conference. She is the only SEC pitcher to rank in the top five in the conference in wins, ERA and strikeouts. The Phoenix, Ariz., native owns ranked wins this season over Florida State, Arkansas (x2), Texas and Tennessee.
The list will be narrowed to 10 finalists on May 13 before being cut further to three on May 18, with the winner being announced on May 26 in Oklahoma City prior to the start of the 2026 Women's College World Series.
