The Crimson Tide improved to 4-1 with Monday night’s win
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama did not trail at any point and rolled past Grambling State in a 3-0 sweep Monday night at Foster Auditorium.
The Crimson Tide (4-1) took the opening the set, 25-18, and followed that with a pair of lopsided wins across the final two sets (25-8, 25-6) on its way to the second sweep of the season. Hannah Parant captured her second consecutive double-double with 38 assists and 10 digs, while Laney Hennessee and Kaleigh Palmer added 10 kills apiece.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Alabama combined for 51 total kills across with 11 different players recording at least one kill on the night
- Hannah Parant ended with 38 assists and 10 digs to record her second double-double
- Laney Hennessee posted a near double-double with 10 kills and nine digs on the night
- Dionii Fraga added 10 digs to match Parant for the team lead on the night
- Eleven UA players had at least one kill with all 17 seeing action in the win
