Alabama’s Kylie Boyd has been named this week’s SEC Offensive Player of the Week for her three-goal second half performance against Georgia on Friday night.
Boyd scored three goals in a 15:00 minute span of the second half to help lead the Crimson Tide back from a 1-0 halftime deficit to a 3-1 victory. The win also clinched a berth in the SEC tournament for Alabama for the first time since 1998. Boyd now has seven goals on the season, which is second on the team.
This marks the second consecutive week that the SEC’s Offensive Player of the Week has come from Alabama. Last week Gillian Kilburn took the honors.
