
Staley Signs Two-Year Extension

Alabama head soccer coach Don Staley has signed a new two-year contract extension with the University that will run through Dec. 31, 2007.
The Crimson Tide finished the 2005 season at 8-8-2 and defeated rival Auburn for the sixth time under Staley’s leadership.
Staley arrived at Alabama in 1994 when the University reinstated the soccer program. Since then he has led the Crimson Tide to 121 victories and three SEC Western Division crowns. He has also had 95 players named Academic All-SEC. Staley entered the 2005 season 19th on the all-time list of winningest D-1 head coaches with 217 victories.
