Soccer Team to Particiapte in Canned Food Drive This Weekend

TUSCALOOSA ?? The University of Alabama, along with the Southeastern Conference, has initiated a canned food drive at all home sporting events, excluding football, from September 21-30.
All SEC member institutions will be participating in the event over the weekend and all donations will be delivered to the West Alabama Food Bank. Donation barrels will be set up near the entrance of the UA Soccer Complex for this weekends games vs. Vanderbilt and Kentucky.
The Southeastern Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is coordinating the league-wide food drive.
The SEC SAAC is comprised of two student-athletes from each institution. The SAAC was established to serve as a medium of communication through which student-athletes, conference administrators, institutional representatives and coaches discuss and take action on issues relating to rules governance, student-athlete welfare and community service.
