
Skorka Earns College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Honors

Gessica Skorka was named to the CSC Academic All-American team for the second consecutive year
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama soccer's Gessica Skorka earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Third Team honors, the organization announced Wednesday.
Skorka was named an Academic All-American for the second time in her career, making back-to-back appearances on the list. She is just the third player in program history to earn the honor on more than one occasion and first to do so since Emma Welch was selected in 2017 and 2018.

- Earned CSC Academic All-America honors for the second consecutive year
- Named a First Team All-SEC honoree
- Member of the Crimson Tide defensive unit that held eight teams scoreless through 90 minutes
- Held 11 teams to three or less shots on goal
- Despite playing on the backline, ranked second on the team in assists with four
- Tallied two assists in the 4-1 win against LSU
- Named to TopDrawerSoccer's Team of the Week (8/21) for leading the Crimson Tide to a pair of shutout wins over DePaul and UAB
